Product Designer

About the role

At Kotao, design is not decoration — it is how we make complex business tools feel simple and intuitive. We are looking for a Product Designer who can take the complexity of payments, operations, and cloud management and turn it into experiences that business owners love to use.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end user experiences for our web, desktop, and mobile applications
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
• Conduct user research and usability testing with real business owners
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design intent is preserved in code
• Contribute to and evolve our design system and component library

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of product design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex B2B or SaaS product design
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience with design systems and component-based design
• Ability to balance user needs with business objectives
• Strong communication skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience designing for hospitality, retail, or fintech
• Knowledge of frontend development (HTML, CSS, React)
• Experience with accessibility-first design practices
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui component patterns
• Experience working in early-stage startups
