About the role
We are building a unified platform that handles payments, operations, and cloud infrastructure for thousands of businesses. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect and build the core services that power everything — from transaction processing to real-time collaboration.
What you will do
- Design and build scalable backend services using Bun and Elysia
- Architect database schemas and optimize query performance
- Build and maintain payment processing integrations
- Implement real-time features using WebSockets and Centrifugo
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance at scale
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript experience in server-side environments
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience designing and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservice patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Nice to have
- Experience with Bun runtime or Elysia framework
- Knowledge of payment systems and PCI compliance
- Experience with Redis, message queues, or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform)
- Experience with S3-compatible object storage (R2, MinIO)
